Ashley Andrews, RDH, Myofunctional Therapist
Hi! I’m Ashley a Registered Dental Hygienist specializing in Orofacial Myology.
When I learned about what Orofacial Myfunctional Therapy was, it was a massive “aha moment” for me, as I seen so many of the red flags in not only my oldest child but myself too. I knew I had to learn more about this field and I went down the rabbit hole. I’ve loved my career over the last 8 years as an RDH and Myo is another outlet that is allowing me to help people discover root causes and all the connections our mouth has over the rest of our bodies! I feel so fortunate to be a part of SaskMyo and be able to help people on their Myo journey. |

Danae Simpkins, RDH, Myofunctional Therapist
Hello! My name is Danae and I am so excited about joining Andrea at Sask Myo!
I have been a Registered Dental Hygienist for eleven years and have now had two years of providing myofunctional therapy in a dental office. I was inspired to look into myofunctional therapy when I saw my, then, three year old daughter struggling to breathe at night and I noticed severe crowding in her dentition. As a mom, you know when something isn't right and what bothered me more, was that I couldn't find a solution for her even though this was my field of expertise. I took a deep dive into myofunctional therapy and I haven't been able to look back. This field of therapy has opened my eyes to so much of what should seem basic but it isn't. |
I was born and raised in Southern Alberta and as the story goes, my husband brought me to Moose Jaw where we now reside with our three beautiful kids.
A fun fact about me is that I was never involved in athletics growing up but now have a deep love for physical fitness and staying active with my family.
I love listening to podcasts about health and wellness, being a mom, and of course myofunctional therapy!
I am thrilled to be a part of Sask Myo because I know there is such a need for our work. For a few years I have been able to help patients local to me but I am thrilled to bring on clients from all over Saskatchewan and help them connect the dots for their kids or for themselves as I was once in their shoes.
